SQL Developer
You’ll be working with the business and wider Tech Services team to support the integration of systems and solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and implementing application integration tools and processes.
- Liaising with areas of the business and other Technology Services teams to define requirements and effectively translating information into the best technical solution
- Provide day-to-day support of all core applications that are critical to the smooth running of the business. Ensuring that the systems are monitored, maintained and documented to ensure maximum availability and efficiency and minimal disruption
- Liaising with 3rd party developers to develop solutions and resolve issues.
- You will work to continually improve areas of responsibility
What you’ll need
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or work experience
- Experience of supporting and integrating applications
- Experience of working with SQL Server – development
- Strong T-SQL writing skills – querying, dynamic SQL, triggers and stored procedures
- Expert in SQL Server Management Studio environment and tools
- Database administration – indexes, backup procedures, security, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of Relational Database design and development
- Strong understanding of Visual Studio, BIDS and other IDEs.
- SQL Server Integration Services, ETL and Reporting Services
- Ability to learn new programming languages and tools
