Key job responsibilities - Lead the design, implementation and development of advanced business and data analytics projects, from conceptualization to implementation, to address complex business challenges. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and challenges that can be addressed through data analysis and science. - Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights. - Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize business processes and drive decision-making. Design and implement experiments, and conduct A/B testing to evaluate the performance of models and algorithms. About the team The Data Services (DS) team build solutions to empower EMEA Security and Loss Prevention (S&LP) with the right information at the right time in order to secure the Amazon supply chain, end to end. That includes data driven decision making solutions for loss prevention field teams to identify, prioritize, initiate and conduct successful investigations in the different business lines. DS builds solutions to forecast losses, simulate and measure the impact of security related measures enabling S&LP to proactively address security related risks. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: London, GBR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - A degree - Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist with a strong track record of leading and delivering impactful data science projects. - Expert proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R - Deep understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and advanced machine learning techniques. - Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Familiarity with deep learning algorithms and techniques. - Experience in Risk Management - Experience in Security and Loss Prevention Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
