The EU, APAC & MENA Hazardous Waste Program Manager will support the Global Environmental Program Manager with the development of hazardous Waste Programs in the EU, APAC and MENA that support our stakeholders in the field to execute the programs efficiently and compliantly. This role will work closely with the EAP Field Team, Ops, Global EAP Training and Audit PM, Global EAP EMIS PM, and the global Field customers to ensure that the designed programs will meet the needs of each stakeholder group. This role requires the ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences with varying backgrounds and experience. Additionally, this role may assist with working with consultants or technical teams to resolve hazardous Waste Program barriers, ensuring customers have a positive experience with internal tools and resources, and coordinating streamlined access to process material. This individual will focus on implementing scalable and sustainable solutions for managing hazardous waste compliance in the environmental field.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and support country specific hazardous Waste Programs that are user-friendly, accessible and accurate and remove barriers for successful programs
• Develop and monitor business/geographical performance against applicable key performance indicators
• Think big to develop, integrate, and implement standardized tech and program solutions to increase compliance while reducing burden on associate workload
• Supervise consultants hired to deliver specific products within the implementation of the activities of waste projects.
• Provide technical support to regional environmental teams; monitor and evaluate performance of waste service providers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A completed Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering or related field of study
- Broad knowledge of EU and EU country specific hazardous waste regulations, programs and processes
- Experience leading change in multiple site environments (travel up to 25%) and the ability to influence those that are not direct reports or within your organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Sr. Managers and Directors
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A completed Master’s Degree in chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering or related field of study
- Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization is a plus
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Experience influencing senior leaders without authority
