Job description

Kennedys is looking for a SSRS Report Developer to join our Business Intelligence team in Chelmsford. The successful SSRS Report Developer will, by using their SQL expertise, interrogate the Kennedys data warehouse and produce client mandated reports within both SSRS and PowerBI. All of which to be delivered to a high standard, on time and to specification. They will be working within a team that understands the importance of data quality, and a vision of being deemed Industry best.

Team

Kennedys Business Intelligence team is responsible for delivering valued business intelligence to key clients and a senior internal audience.

The team is comprised of Reporting Analysts and Specialists, Business Analysts and Insight & Technical Analysts who monitor and report key metrics to demonstrate insights to the business.

Our Business Intelligence team forms part of our wider Finance team and is based in London and Chelmsford.

Key responsibilities 

  • Work under the direction of the Firm's Head of Business Intelligence, and develop and implement the company's client reports within SSRS
  • Work closely with all members of the client reporting team to ensure report delivery is accurate and timely
  • Work closely with peers across IT to ensure the data warehouse structure is fit for the current need
  • Maintain and develop skills, particularly SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and visualisation tools such as Power BI
  • Undertake inter team training on both SSRS and SQL.

Required experience 

  • Writing T-SQL, creation of jobs, stored procedures and functions
  • In depth knowledge of SSRS
  • Experience working within DevOps
  • Data transformation
  • Creation of data sourcesSSAS desirable
  • SSIS desirable.
