Job Details Job Details: Our company is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting functions, including manufacturing accounting, month-end close, reconciliation, fixed assets, audit, and exposure to cost accounting. Responsibilities: As a Staff Accountant, you will have a pivotal role in our financial operations, with responsibilities that include: 1. Participating in the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
2. Managing and maintaining the fixed assets register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
3. Assisting with the annual audit process by preparing schedules, providing explanations of supporting materials and procedures, and collaborating with external auditors.
4. Conducting cost accounting activities, including product cost development, margin analysis, manufacturing analysis, and inventory valuation.
5. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
6. Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes.
7. Continuously improving systems and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and control.
8. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
9. Working closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
3. Experience with MS Excel and ERP systems.
4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
