We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Surgical Complex Care team at The Portland Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and the UK’s only private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children. As a Staff Nurse in our Paediatric Surgical Complex Care team you’ll assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that our patients are cared for in a safe, compassionate and comfortable environment. Day-to-day you’ll undertake various tasks such as venepuncture, cannulation and phlebotomy, contributing to the ongoing research-based care and other practice development initiatives.
You’ll need ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patients and initiate early interventions in a calm and co-ordinated manner, but in return for your expertise we can offer you a career with ongoing development. What you’ll bring:
NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
Understanding of Safeguarding issues
Ideally experience working within a paediatric HDU
Excellent written and verbal communication
The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
