The Role / Position Overview
Professional Wealth Management is seeking a Staff Writer to support its existing editorial team in providing insight and analysis of the latest global investment megatrends and how they affect wealth management professionals.

Brand Description

Professional Wealth Management is a website, magazine and events hub, serving professionals across multiple sectors with the latest analysis and insights into the global megatrends of Sustainability, Digitalisation, Geopolitics and Demographics, helping them navigate a rapidly changing world. Our multi-channel platform offers news, features and interviews, plus live discussions. It is essential reading and viewing for professionals involved in the world of wealth management, who can access content through live events, video interviews, online articles and printed magazine content. Each month, several of our main stories are also featured on the FT.com site.

Role summary

You will be covering the latest developments in our global megatrends and how they affect the decision making of wealth management professionals. You will be expected to write news analysis pieces as well as longer form articles, unveiling new, key aspects of a story through the use of data. You will be striving to stimulate and inform readers as part of our mission to make PWMnet the go-to source of news analysis and information for professionals in the wealth management sector. You may also help run the PWMnet newsletter, a key source of interaction with readers. The job may also involve chairing panels, conducting video interviews and some foreign travel to research stories.

You'll be

  • Inquisitive and eager to engage with compelling content
  • Interested in the world of finance and how global megatrends affect financial markets
  • Self-motivated and innovative

You'll have

  • Some editorial experience
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • A global mindset
  • A broad knowledge of finance, economics and geopolitical issues
  • Experience in data analysis
  • A flexible approach to work
  • Some experience of the main themes driving our identified global megatrends
  • The ability to build long-term professional relationships as well as media contacts
  • Experience of writing both short and long-form copy accurately to tight deadlines

Other desirable experience

  • Newsletter production skills
  • Public speaking/presentation experience
  • Proficiency in a foreign language
