Staircase Surveyor (Trainee or experienced)

An established manufacturer based in Essex that supply made to measure staircases to an established trade customer base are seeking Surveyors to join their busy team.

The job entails visiting residential refurbishment sites throughout London and the Southeast of England, taking detailed measurements and designing staircases to suit a customer’s requirements on site. Typically you will visit 4-5 sites a day with 30 minute allocated slots.

Working days are Monday to Friday, hours flexible. Salary is from £30,000 for a trainee/graduate through to £50,000 for someone with specific staircase measuring experience. 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. A company vehicle is provided for the role along with the relevant measuring kit needed. There will be a period of training alongside one of the company’s Surveyors and you will be expected to travel into the factory a couple of days a week at the start. Thereafter it will be all field based.

As mentioned previously, we are open to candidates of all levels, but someone with an interest in the joinery or building industry or someone working on building sites and or residential refurbishments, would be preferred. Good mathematical skills are essential for measuring. A full driver’s license is also required.
