Steel Draughtsperson/Detailer

The Job:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Steel Draughtsperson/Detailer to join a well established steel fabrication company supplying a wide range of steel solutions to various different industries. The successful candidate will require previous experience working in the steel industry and should be conversant with the use of 2D AutoCAD.

The Role:

· To prepare and issue for manufacture 2D fabrication drawings for small steel fabricated items and structures

· Prepare material and bolt lists

· To liaise with client/ engineers and architects

· Carryout site visits

The Person:

· Will require previous experience of working in the Steelwork Industry and experience in producing detailed fabrication drawings.

· Good knowledge and use of 2D AutoCAD

· Conversant with all standard Microsoft applications

· Experience with StruCAD and / or Tekla desirable but not essential.

· Will have good communication skills, experience dealing with a range of personnel

· Experience of fabricating and site fitting methods for metal work is desirable.

· Must be reliable and confident with a keen eye for detail.
