Stipendiary Lectureship in History

Start date: 1st September 2024 Duration: 11 months  Closing date: Friday 3rd May 2024 (11:59pm) The College invites applications for this post, which is tenable for a fixed period of 11 months from 1 September 2024 to 31 July 2025 based in New College, Oxford. The person appointed will be expected to provide tutorial teaching for six hours per week over the three academic terms, and to provide administrative and pastoral support for the cohort of undergraduate and graduate History students. The post carries a stipend of £16,166. (subject to review). The appointment will be pensionable under the USS scheme, details of which are available here: https://www.uss.co.uk/. In addition, tutors are entitled to free lunch and dinner at the common table when this is available. In addition, the postholder will be entitled to use a research and teaching account (£1,405), and an entertainment account (£280). The appointment will be for a fixed period of 11 months (September 2024 - July 2025) without possibility of renewal.
