Job Title: Stock Coordinator

Reports to: Stores Manager

Job Purpose: As a Stock Coordinator in our Stores department, you will play a crucial role in the control and disposal of unsalvageable parts and expired products.
Reporting to the Stores Manager, this position involves managing the handling, storage, and timely disposal of scrap parts, ensuring compliance with defined processes and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Control and manage the handling and storage of unsalvageable/scrap parts in accordance with defined processes.


• Ensure scrap parts are moved to the designated storage area following defined processes.


• Liaise with product lines to make scrap parts available for customer viewing.


• Work closely with Product Lines to support customer requirements.


• Collaborate with Product Lines and Finance to ensure timely disposal of scrap parts.


• Securely place scrap parts into the skip once cleared for disposal.


• Maintain documentation for scrap parts as per defined processes.


• Monitor the remaining shelf life of parts and products with limited shelf life.


• Dispose of parts or products where the shelf life is due to expire in line with defined processes.


• Promote required standards of work to comply with CAA, FAA, and other recognized regulatory bodies.


• Maintain required standards of general housekeeping.


• Promote and monitor compliance with legislation, company policy, and codes of practice related to Health and Safety at Work.


• Constantly monitor and review operating methods to facilitate qualitative and quantitative improvements in service to operations.


• Be conscious of Industrial Relations and conduct operations to aid the presentation of the company to employees and their representatives.


• Undertake all duties in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.


• Be aware of and understand company policies, procedures, and agreements.


• Understand and adhere to responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures.


• Perform any other duties as reasonably requested.

Working Conditions:

• May require additional overtime hours to be worked.


• Working with computers and screens for prolonged periods.


• Requirement to move between buildings.

Physical Requirements:

• The job requires the applicant to stand for a prolonged amount of time with breaks throughout the day.


• The position and process involve lifting heavy aircraft components (Manual Handling training provided).

Education and Qualifications:

• Equivalent to GCSE A-C grades.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Advantageous if the applicant has served an apprenticeship within the Aerospace industry.


• Good knowledge, awareness, and understanding of PPE.


• Preferable but not essential for the applicant to have worked in an aerospace environment.


• Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office.


• Awareness of the Major Accident Prevention plan (MAPP).
