Full Time Permanent Position
To assist in providing a high standard of care to rescued animals at the sanctuary including rabbits, guinea-pigs, poultry, waterfowl, aviary birds, goats, sheep, equines, camelids and pigs.
Duties
- Preparation of feeds & daily feeding operations
- Cleaning out of animal housing, paddocks and enclosures
- Maintaining safe, clean, warm and dry environments for the animals
- Closely monitoring animal health and well-being
- General cleaning and maintenance of equipment and department
Qualities/Skills
- A genuine interest in animal welfare
- Animal husbandry qualification or experiences of Small Animals
- Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work
- Current manual driving licence
- Practical hands-on and hard-working approach to work
- Capable of carrying out manual handling
- Ability to work alone and within a team
- Good communication skills
- Able to work outside in all weathers
