About the role

Title –  Store Detective

Pay Rate – £14.90

Location – Avonmouth

Shift Timings – 4 on 4 off shift patterning consisting of days.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock ranging from food/drink and homeware. The role as a Store Detective is to work undercover as additional support to the security officers on site. You will be required to work in plain clothes, blending in as part of the general public, ensuring you are vigilant for shoplifters/suspicious activity. As you are plain clothed, you will be undetectable to shoplifters, making this role a vital aspect of the business. To ensure you remain undetected, this role requires you to work in multiple stores, and so the right candidate must be willing to travel (expenses will be discussed upon interview stage).

Your main responsibilities may include:

  • Work in ‘plain clothes’ to ensure shoplifting is kept to a minimum
  • Support the security officers on site
  • Follow ASCONE
  • Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
  • Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • 1 years experience as a Store Detective or loss prevention officer is essential.
  • Be confident in working independently.
  • SIA License.
  • 5-year checkable work/career history.
  • Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure.
