Job Title: Stores Assistant
Location: On-site, working between two sites in HU3 and HU16
Hourly Pay Rate: £11.44
Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm with a 30-minute unpaid break)
Length of the contract: Temporary Ongoing
Gi Group are now seeking to appoint an experienced Stores Assistant to our Public Sector client based in Hull, working between two sites (HU3 and HU16).
Duties of the Stores Assistant

• To support the Procurement Department with receiving goods on site, receipting goods, delivering goods, and picking goods.
• To count and put away department stock whilst ensuring the stock rooms are correctly labelled and ensuring that stock rotation is continuously carried out.
• To ensure deliveries are correct against requirements, including unit of issue, investigation, and resolution of any discrepancies with external suppliers up to and including proof of delivery and receipt of credit notes.
• To prioritise workload in accordance with daily demands, ensuring targets are achieved, act on emergencies as required, and respond to changing circumstances.
• To follow materials management policies and procedures, including calculating and agreeing stock levels through discussion with internal Operational Managers.

Role Criteria

• Ability to work across two sites.
• Experience in a similar role.
• GCSEs Grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Word, and ability to use, with training, bespoke packages.
• Teamwork and communication.
• Analytical and keyboard skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and managed conflicts on demand.
