Stores Assistant

Come and help keep our Constabulary running effectively by delivering high quality support.

The Central Business Support team are looking to recruit one full time, permanent Stores Assistant to help maintain a supply service for uniform and protective equipment to all officers and staff.

What you’ll be doing

• Measuring and equipping new and existing personnel with the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
• Ensuring that stock and goods are maintained in good condition, are easily located and rotated as necessary.
• Pick and Pack orders received in line with customer requests.

The must haves

• Experience of working in a stores and distribution warehouse environment.
• The ability to deal with customer enquiries and communicate effectively at all levels both in writing and verbally.
• Experience of handling data, accurately inputting, retrieving and searching for information on computer databases.

Please note, this role requires you to be physically fit enough to lift and transport heavy objects associated with manual handling of items of uniform, equipment, and other deliveries.*

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
