This is great opportunity to join a long established and growing engineering business, who are part of a global group of companies.
They are seeking a Stores Assistant/Delivery Driver to undertake a variety of stores/delivery duties.
Job Purpose:
This role will include issuing out materials and tools, preparing items for dispatch and efficient stock management. Organisational skills are key for this position as well as a strong ability to work as part of a team, both in the Stores area, and across the company as a whole, including on client site when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check/inspect and book in purchase orders into a computer-based Inventory Management System and place accurately into racking, shelving or factory floor- filing and distribution of logistics paperwork
- Picking and issuing parts/raw materials for delivery to site
- Maintenance of accurate computer stock files
- Pack and dispatch parts to customers as required
- Transfer of goods between depots
- Delivery of goods to customer sites
- FLT use.
- Stocktaking as required
- General housekeeping of all storage areas
- Other duties may also be required
Experience:
- Experience of working in a stores area, or within deliveries would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent IT skills, MS Office desireable
Qualifications
- Driving licence is essential; as there will be driving involved in this position. Including local and occasional longer distance travel. Transportation will be provided.
- FLT licence would also be desirable but not essential.
- You may require security clearance (which we will arrange) to enter some client sites.
