Overview:
We are currently seeking to recruit a Stores Co-Ordinator who to will be responsible for purchasing materials from customer approved suppliers & supporting Stores Managers in daily running of the Stores.
Responsibilities: - Purchase of packaging materials from customer approved suppliers
- Purchase of other supplies within area of responsibility as required
- Ensuring/monitoring regular stock takes within your area of responsibility as outlined, control and rotation of all items, setting min/max levels and keeping all items to an absolute minimum whilst maintaining continuity of supply.
- Monitoring of daily report from team leader and rectifying any problems with stocks, shortages or manpower levels
- Stock reduction as outlined by Stores Manager.
- Liaising with other departments and stores personnel regarding stock levels and ensuring continuity of supply of all items at all times.
- Oversee the checking of orders, prices and relevant documentation and ensure discrepancies are rectified.
- Overseeing the expediting of orders and ensuring all orders are receipted on time as ordered
- Ensuring adequate space for items ordered prior to receipt.
- Identify improved cost saving methods and liaising with stores manager and/or group buyer regarding same.
- Ensuring good housekeeping practices are adhered to within area of responsibility and adopting a clean as you go policy.
- Ensuring stores personnel maintain H&S and hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations ensure that all staff wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Ensuring good communication between the 3 stores coordinators/2 team leaders and ensuring Stores Manager is aware of any issues
- Working to tight deadlines whilst leading and directing the team leaders to further direct the stores team
- Attendance and participation in management or other meetings as required.
- Comply with all Company Policies & Procedures and inform HR department of any member of staff who breaches Company rules and carry out disciplinary action in conjunction with HR staff.
- Any other duties as required by stores manager
- Previous experience in purchasing, demand planning, stock management is desirable
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Experience of MRP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience Working with Cross Functional Teams
- Good Communication skills are essential
