Stores Operative

We are the internal recruitment partner for a local well established, manufacturing company within the events industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised Stores Operative to join the team in Washingley, Peterborough.

As the Stores Operative, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day movement of stock within the storage warehouse. You will pick and pack orders, create new stock inventories as needed, update inventories with movements and ensure the stores, warehouse and yard area is kept tidy and safe.

You will be responsible for conducting inventory and stock checks for clients stored stock, loading, and unloading vehicles with required products, monitoring and recording goods in and out and ensuring all systems are updated accordingly.

We are looking for an experienced Stores Operative to join the team, you will be highly organised with a methodical approach and be able to communicate well with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

• Proven experience within a Stores / Warehouse environment.
• FLT experience is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and work as a team player in the wider delivery of their services.
• Maintain the highest standards of work, quality, and health & safety.
• Physically able to lift heavy objects.

Benefits

• A salary of circa £25,000 dependent on skills, knowledge, and experience.
• Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30. (Flexibility required)
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
