We are looking to recruit a experienced storesman for a civil engineering company based in the widnes are who serve the petro-chem/Pharma/Food manufacturing industries around the north west
The exact role of a Storesman will differ depending on the skills of the applicant and
on-job training will be provided for new roles, but some common duties of the role
are (and not limited to):
• Order new materials/equipment/consumables when required.
• Booking in materials (currently developing new system).
• Be responsible for receiving and checking all deliveries.
• Ensuring stock is stored within the correct area.
• Ensuring electrical/mechanical assets are tracked.
• Liaise with suppliers and handle queries relating to delivery and stock
discrepancies.
• Control of overalls and laundry deliveries.
• Arrangement of maintenance for electrical assets (inc PAT testing)
• Organise and deliver goods from the stores to the relevant sites as required.
Profile
To apply for this Stores Person vacancy there are no set qualifications required,
however, some of the common skills below would be advantageous:
• Experience working in a similar stores role.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of pipework fittings and nut/bolt types would be advantages.
• Knowledge of electrical hand tools would be advantageous.
• Computer skills would be advantageous but not
Job Offer
This is a full time Monday to Friday (inc some Saturday mornings).
Circa - £28,000.00 - £34,000.00 salary.
Holidays – 25 days + Bank Holidays.
