Overview:
A new position has been created at our Silverstone site for a Stores Person to join our successful and expanding electric vehicle technology business.
The role will involve complete control of the stores/warehouse function, including: Goods Inwards, Stock Management and despatch, whilst providing operational support to activities as required/necessary.
Our ideal candidate will be precise, proactive, analytical and able to work effectively in a small team or on their own. You should also be self-starting and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You should also have a professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers and be flexible to workload and demands.
Expected Skills and Experience:
- Min 3 years experience in similar role in fast paced automotive or similar warehouse/stores environment
- Fork Lift Truck License holder
- Full Clean UK Driving License
- Manual Handling trained
- Experience in managing Import & Export activities, both in Europe and globally
- Capable and proficient in all MS Office applications with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong attention to detail in all areas, including data entry.
- COSHH understanding
- FIFO and batch, serial control principles
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Experience with ERP system operation - Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central etc
- Understanding concept of Continuous Improvement and using 5s principles
- Understanding requirements of ISO9001
