We are now looking to fill this permanent position to be based at our Head Office in Chippenham.
Reporting to the Stores Team Leader, the right candidate will be part of a small team to ensure daily targets are met and effectively carry out the key processes of the team.
We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a relative fast pace stores environment where attention to detail matters. Previous stores experience is required.
Your core responsibilities in the position of Stores Person are as follows:
- You will need to issue materials from the stores in accordance with picking lists or store requisitions and place into identified containers available to the Workshop/Control Panel shop team.
- You will need to follow agreed processes relating to all stock items that are allocated to projects so that they may be booked onto our ERP system.
- You will need to ensure that incoming stock items, project materials and consumable items are checked against the purchase order.
- You will need to identify non-conforming items and raise non-conformance reports in line with the appropriate procedure.
- You will need to ensure that all equipment dispatched from the workshop has been appropriately packed and is accompanied by the necessary documentation.
- You will need to support creating shipping documents from ERP system.
- You will need to ensure that all goods are stored/packed adequately to prevent damage or deterioration of the product.
- You will need to ensure the accuracy of inventory by carrying out regular cycle count / stock take.
- You will need to assist with loading and unloading and moving goods in our main store and/or our remote store occasionally.
- You will need to assist with the preparation of lifting equipment, ensuring it is ready for inspection.
- You will need to support the Operations Manager in the management of COSHH substances to ensure they are included in the COSHH register.
Your profile:
- You will ideally have previously worked in a demanding and fast moving stores environment and you enjoy a hands on approach.
- You will have high level of attention to detail.
- You will have good written and oral communication skills.
- You will have good organisational and time management skills.
- You will have working knowledge of Microsoft office software.
- You will have a driving licence.
- Previous ERP system experience is essential.
- Basic engineering knowledge would be beneficial.
- Forklift license preferred (training can be provided).
- Experience of slinging & lifting would be an advantage.
