Stores Person (Goods-In Inspector) 3 month contract (likely to extend) - Darlington - competitive salary
Shorterm Group are currently working with an Aviation client who are looking to appoint a Stores person on a 3 month contract (likely to be extended) with the potential to extend. Suitable candidates must have Goods In Inspector experience and have experience working within Aviation stores.
Join our clients dynamic team in Darlington and play a crucial role in maintaining their stores facilities as a Goods-In Inspector. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for receiving inspections of components, parts, materials, and tools, ensuring compliance with OEM recommendations and UK CAA/EASA regulations.
Choice of 3 shift patterns: 7 days on / 7 days off or 6 days on x 4 days off x 4 days on x 6 days off x 4 days on x 4 days off shift pattern or 4 days on 4 days off.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of all received goods, ensuring adherence to correct condition and paperwork requirements.
Monitor Part/Consumable stock levels, shelf life, and escalate issues within the Supply Chain as needed.
Collaborate with the Lead Store Person and Tooling Specialists for periodic checks on tooling, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records.
Prioritise and prepare aircraft parts for maintenance inputs as directed.
Uphold cleanliness, tidiness, and overall upkeep of Hangar stores.
Support day-to-day operations of Hangar stores, adapting and creating procedures to enhance efficiency.
Effectively operate the maintenance system and ensure workplace health and safety standards are met.
Apply Dangerous Goods Awareness consistently.
Maintain the store's area in an orderly manner and comply with company procedures for material handling.
Ensure proper storage of delivered and received materials in the warehouse.
Perform any additional duties or tasks directed by the Stores & Tooling Supervisor.
Actively support and promote a positive safety learning culture through reporting occurrences, identifying potential hazards, and embracing continuous improvement and human factors principles.
Requirements:
Experience working within Aviation Stores.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements desirable
Previous stores experience is essential.
