About the role:

We are looking for a Strategic Employer Partnership Specialist to join our Employer Partnerships Team at   our Bedford/Corby/Dunstable campuses. As a Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Developing relationships with local, regional, and national employers, aiming to enhance collaboration opportunities between employers and college students.
  • Assisting in developing, launching, and coordinating the Employer Partnership Scheme.
  • Planning and implementing industry employer forums, attends events, and networks to promote collaboration opportunities.
  • Gathering, analysing, and interpreting data, producing reports to inform curriculum development and meet employer needs and college targets.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for inquiries about partnership opportunities.

About you:

  • Level 2 in Mathematics and English at grade C/4 above, or Level 2 in functional skills Math’s and English, or willing to complete once in post
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Proven experience in employer engagement, partnership development, or a similar role within the education, training, or a related sector
  • Recent experience of working in a customer focused
  • environment and exceeding customer expectations
  • Experience in event planning and coordination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiently in using a CRM system and Microsoft Office applications

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
