Job Title: Strategic Insights Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £47,750 per annum

Hours per week: 35 (flexible options available such as compressed hours, and part time considered - minimum 28 hours)

Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week (one of which will be a Tuesday). The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

About the roleWe are looking for a Strategic Insights manager to join IOSH. This exciting role will be responsible for gathering, analysing and interpreting data which will help provide strategic guidance and actionable insights to support key business decisions and drive our strategy forward. Your expertise will help the organisation to understand market dynamics, consumer behaviours as well as competitive landscapes.

In this role you will be using various sources such as internal databases and market research reports to collect and analyse data. You will be knowledgeable and have experience of market research to help provide expertise and guidance on research methodologies that are appropriate to IOSH’s strategic objectives, as well as conducting external research to identify trends, opportunities and threats relating to these objectives.  

The role will conduct competitive analysis to help identify areas for differentiation and competitive advantage as well as gathering and researching consumer insights to lead on customer survey strategy. As part of the strategic planning aspect of this role, you will be collaborating with cross functional teams, and providing research and analysis relating to new geographic markets and customers.

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in market research methodology which will help drive business results including data collation and reporting tools. You will be familiar with designing surveys, leveraging best practices to gather insights. You will be confident in communicating and presenting information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences in a way that is understandable and engaging. 

You will also have knowledge and experience of data analysis tools and software such as Power BI, with strong analytical skills to allow them to interpret data and derive actionable insights. To be successful in this role you have proven experience in data analysis, market research and strategic planning.

Essential criteria

·        Proven experience in data analysis, market research, and strategic planning, preferably in a similar role or industry.

·        Working knowledge of data collection, analysis and reporting tools.

·        Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

·        Strong ability to communicate and disseminate complex information and knowledge to a variety of audiences.

·        Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter/functional experts to drive the Strategic Insight function including the information security and technology teams.
