Strategic Lead for Adolescent Safeguardingand Family Support

Royal Greenwich is looking for a Strategic Lead for Adolescent Safeguardingand Family Support to work with the Senior Leadership team across the Council to challenge, identify and resolve issues, and champion a strategic approach that embeds and drives high performance and a value for money culture.

We are proud of our early help and prevention services and are seeking a Strategic Lead for Adolescent Safeguardingand Family Support Service to lead and enhance our service delivery. As a key player in our Strategic Leadership team, you'll lead and contribute to the further development of services aimed at improving outcomes for vulnerable children, adolescents, and families; ensuring the delivery of high-quality and effective interventions. You will champion the involvement of children and young people in all aspects of service planning and delivery, placing their needs at the forefront of decision-making.

Delivering success through integrated provision and partnerships will take considerable skill and leadership capability and there is a great ambition from Royal Greenwich and its partners to seize the opportunities that this presents. So are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable, with a high level of professional credibility.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Director (Children’s and Families Social Care) to elevate our already well-performing Youth Justice and Family and Adolescent Support Service. As well as work closely with elected Members, various departments of the Council, including Housing and Safer Communities and statutory partners such as health, education and police, alongside other agencies from the community and voluntary sector and commissioned providers. Key responsibilities will include leading on establishing and embedding the development of a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary Adolescent Safeguarding service.
