Strategic Principal Planner

I am working with a Hertfordshire based Local Authority who are looking to bring on a Strategic Principal Planner to their Development Management team. The contract will run for an initial 6 months, with view to extend should all parties be happy to do so. 

The council are expecting an influx of large-scale major applications and as such, need a dedicated planner to handle them from start to finish. The flagship development for this role is an approx. 1200 unit housing scheme, with a new school, commercial sites etc. As such, you will need demonstrable experience handling applications at this level, as well as liaising with developers and negotiating PPAs. 

The council would ideally like you in the office twice a week, however this can be negotiated down to once a week once you are up to speed with their working practices. The council can pay up to £60/h, dependent on experience.
