We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion to help the UK’s Nuclear industry thrive and grow. The Nuclear AMRC is currently looked for an independent, highly motivated and proactive individual to join our organisation as a Strategic Relationship Manager.
As Strategic Relationship Manager, you will be required to use an outstanding skill set to deliver the Nuclear AMRC’s ambitions to improve the capabilities and competitiveness of the UK nuclear manufacturing industry, by working with members to develop world-leading manufacturing processes and technologies and support UK manufacturing companies to compete for nuclear contracts.
You will report to the Business Development Director and will be responsible for developing / maintaining a portfolio of membership clients for on average 3 days a week and securing opportunities for the centre in the remainder of your time. You will help to build and maintain customer relationships with technology vendors in UK industry and identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
This is a function we are keen to develop further, increasing the impact of the Nuclear AMRC. You will be a key member of a small team supporting the CEO and leadership team so experience of supporting senior leaders would be valuable.
We are actively searching for candidates who have:
  • Experience of working in a business development and / or relationship management environment.
  • Develop and managed effective working partnerships with a mix of internal and external teams, work at pace and deliver to tight timescales when required.
  • A consistent track record of developing business and relationships with key collaborators at all levels.
  • A good understanding of business, supply chain, innovation and commercialisation processes and drivers.
This role is UK field based with some overseas travel. You will also be required to travel between our offices in Birchwood, Derby and Sheffield.

The Nuclear AMRC was established in 2009 and applies a model of collaborative research to the nuclear supply chain. It has over 40 members, and helps UK manufacturers compete at home and worldwide for work in the energy sector. The Nuclear AMRC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, a consortium of seven leading manufacturing and process research centres backed by Innovate UK.
