Due to an internal promotion within the team and consistent business growth, an opportunity presents itself to join a high performing, young and dynamic strategic procurement function who provide ample opportunities for professional development, and career progression.

This Prestigious Industry Giant seek a Strategic Sourcing Manager to deliver commercial value through leading strategic tenders and activation programs across both Direct Procurement within Food & Beverage and Indirect spend. You will play an integral part in managing client relationships and client engagement to secure new business, retain existing clients and to deliver value to members of the group purchasing model.

This Strategic Sourcing Manager role opens the door to a broad portfolio of both suppliers and clientele. This is a dynamic client facing role which collaborates cross functionally across the sourcing, category, marketing and sales teams to deliver quality results for all associated parties.

If you are an ambitious and experienced Category Specialist, Senior Buyer, Category / Sourcing or Procurement Manager with experience across a variety of direct & indirect procurement (Food & FMCG industry preferable), joining this world-class & multi-award-winning procurement function could be an exciting and logical next career move for you.

The firm are offering a lucrative package of c.50 - £55k + 15 - 20% Bonus, as well as a matched 6% pension. They operate on flexible hybrid working arrangements (c.2x office days) and their offices are commutable from West London, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire etc.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Tenders: Lead the preparation, submission, and management of strategic tenders to secure new business and retain existing clients.
  • Supplier Management: Engage with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and service levels that meet our members' requirements.
  • Client Management: Conduct regular reviews with clients to understand their needs, ensuring our offerings align with the procurement strategies.
  • Commercial Growth: Drive initiatives that capitalize on the existing spend, with a focus on ambitious growth targets over the coming years.
  • Activation Programmes: Develop and execute activation programs that enhance category performance and deliver measurable commercial benefits.
  • Collaboration: Work cross functionally with sales and marketing teams to establish and maintain a clear operating model that supports our strategic objectives.

Required Experience:

  • Strong commercial acumen and end to end procurement experience (direct or indirect) within Food & Beverages, FMCG, Retail or Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable experience in Strategic Sourcing or category management.
  • Proactive attitude, strong communicator and ability to be client facing & engaging.
  • Strong commercial acumen & negotiation skills, strong communicator and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders / suppliers to influence buy in.
  • Procurement experience on strategic level and demonstratable experience of running tenders.
