We have a fantastic opportunity for a Street Cleaning Operative to join our Sheffield Contract team on a permanent contract.

As a Street Cleaning Operative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the streets of Sheffield remain clean and meet with the requirements of the contract and in accordance with schedules and work instructions.
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week
You will be responsible for:
Undertaking all aspects of Street Cleaning works including scheduled and reactive cleaning using both manual and mechanical methods, litter bin emptying, flytip removal, flyposting and graffiti removal and litter bin installation
Undertaking all cleaning duties safely, to a high standard and in line with Amey’s values Assist in the provision of a 7 day a week service which may include weekend and bank holiday working
Driving or operating the vehicles and plant required to complete cleaning duties Complete appropriate safety checks on all vehicles, plant and equipment and carry out maintenance and reporting defects as required
Reporting and recording status of Street Cleaning tasks, using hand-held electronic devices where necessary
Liaising with members of the public, other team members, managers and sub-contractors in a professional and courteous manner
Attending project and work briefings as required
Assisting with other areas of the contract including winter maintenance and grounds maintenance as required
