SalaryMatching Staff Solutions are working alongside our established client to find a Street Scene Operative located in Exeter. This role is on a contract starting in April until November 2024. Your role will be to keep the city and local environment clean, tidy and adequately maintained.
Monday to Friday - 07:30am - 16:00pm.
The Role
Your main duties will include:
- Grounds maintenance and vegetation management tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, shrub bed maintenance using pedestrian and hand held equipment.
- Graffiti removal using chemicals or powered equipment.
- Removing litter, emptying litter bins and removing weed growth.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in an operational environment.
- Physical skills required to use machinery for several hours a day - predominantly cutting grass.
- Ability to solve straight forward problems.
- Communication skills required to exchange information with both staff and members of the public.
- Full UK driving license
- Must have previous gardening/horticultural experience
