We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our street cleansing team working as a Streets Operative, playing a key role in keeping Norwich clean.
The Responsibilities of this role include:
- Operating a compact sweeper across allocated areas of Norwich
- Drive a 7.5 tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles when required
- Collect and dispose of litter and waste at the local transfer station
- Clean streets and maintain standards set across all Council areas
- Complete vehicle checks and maintenance as required
- Fill out paperwork, timesheets and job logs accurately
Essential Requirements for the role:
- Full UK manual driving licence including Category C1
- Category C licence and Driver CPC qualifications preferred
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Good knowledge of Norwich's streets and districts
- Excellent verbal communication and teamwork
- Proven ability to work unsupervised to high standards
- Must be flexible, reliable and have a sensible approach
