Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week.

Minimum Category C1 Licence with Driver CPC is Desirable.
You will need to have relevant experience of carrying out environmental cleansing work, ideally experience of driving specialist cleansing equipment (mechanical sweepers) or proven experience of operating similar cleansing / grounds maintenance type equipment although training could be provided for the successful candidate with the appropriate licence. Good knowledge of site locations throughout the Borough is also required.
Your main responsibilities will include working in areas of high footfall utilising Mini Sweepers, working within current services targets, using worksheets, recording and dating completed work. Additional responsibilities will include at times other environmental cleansing works such as emptying bins, litter picking etc.
You must be flexible, committed and have a willingness to undertake mandatory training specific to Rotherham Council Employees and the Job role.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
