Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Sub-Contract basis - with prospects of a permanent position

We are currently seeking an Experienced Structural Detailer/Draughtsman to join our team on a sub-contract basis initially with the future prospect of full-time employment.  

Role Overview: 

As an Experienced Structural Detailer/Draughtsman, you will play a crucial role in our project delivery process. Collaborating closely with our team, you will utilise your expertise to produce accurate and detailed structural drawings. While proficiency in Tekla and civil engineering is advantageous, we offer opportunities to work across diverse sectors, providing exposure to a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Utilise TEKLA and other CAD software (such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk AutoCAD SolidWorks, and Revit) to create 3D models and detailed drawings based on engineering and GA drawings.  
• Generate assembly/fabrication drawings, including CAM data/NC files, bill of materials, and connection/erection drawings from the 3D model.  
• Address requests for information (RFIs) and technical queries (TQs) as needed.  
• Collaborate closely with clients, including potential site visits, to ensure project requirements are met.  

Qualifications and skills:  

• Essential: Proficiency in TEKLA software and experience in structural steel building projects and BIM.  
• Experience using other CAD software packages preferred. 
• Experience in structural analysis; an engineering qualification is preferred.  
• Good understanding of steel structures and basic design principles in both structural and civil engineering  
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.  
• Excellent communication skills.  
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in workmanship.  
• Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.
