Knowledge required.
Essential:
Design production, including production of structural analysis, produce design schedules, produce specifications, produce calculations, review and amend design drawings.
Undertake structural assessments in accordance with Eurocodes and/or British Standards.
Produce, review and approve scheme deliverables including principal inspection, general inspections, site inspections, repair and remedial work recommendations and inspection proformas.
Liaise with the Client and our Community partners to ensure solutions that are developed are suitable for buildability and maintainability.
Provide support to the Senior Engineer within the design team on various design duties.
Support development of Graduate Engineers and Technicians
Prepare technical reports (e.g. feasibility/options reports, assessment reports and other technical reports)
Ensure innovation and best practice is highlighted and adopted where practicable.
Ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards.
Carry out site surveys, inspections and supervision of junior colleagues on site.
Current UK experience in the Public or sector UK based clients.
A full UK driving license is essential.
Desirable:
Experience with National Highways or other Highways Agencies.
Education to degree level (or equivalent) in a related subject.
Experience in undertaking project related tasks associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
Experience in managing multimillion portfolios for clients.
Professional qualification with ICED or IStructE.
