What will the role look like?
Barca offer a parent counselling service which runs from Barca-Leeds office in Bramley. Our aim is to help parents, carers and guardians deal with current or past emotional difficulties which impact them and in turn, their children and families.
Parents can access up to 12 sessions 1:1 counselling support provided by a Counselling student on placement, the work would be overseen by a fully qualified and experienced therapist.

Please note due to the needs of the service, it is a genuine requirement that female presenting students take on this role.
We are only accepting applications from Counselling/Psychotherapy students, preferably within their 2nd year.
Students must commit to delivering on a Wednesday and will have a caseload of up to 4 clients. All records are stored electronically.
Many of the clients we support have experienced trauma, therefore this placement may be of interest to students who have some experience of delivering client sessions and are looking to further develop their skills in this area.
Students will be supported internally with monthly line management from a qualified therapist and will receive a £25 contribution per month towards external clinical supervision costs (mandatory).
