Bournemouth and Poole College now have an exciting new opportunity for a Student Enrichment Coach [x2 roles] 1 Full time & 1 TTO. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £25,662 per annum (pro rata if TTO).

About the role:

As the Student Enrichment Coach, you will further develop and implement college based enrichment programmes across all BPC campuses. For example, clubs, activities on and off campus as well as trips. You will also support, train, develop and deploy the Student Influencer programme.

Responsibilities as our Student Enrichment Coach will include:

  • Further implementing and developing a robust, engaging and fit for purpose enrichment offer to our students through the established BPCXtra enrichment programme and with the Student Engagement and Enrichment Coordinator develop an enrichment strategy and action plan that will be monitored throughout the year
  • Working with curriculums to ensure that curriculum enrichment is planned, this can include sourcing funding, attending trips, booking guest speakers
  • Ensuring engagement with the Cross College BPCXtra program is high across all departments of the college, ensuring that students participate and all associated recording is of high standards
  • Working with students, curriculums and external organsiations to identify, train, support students to become leaders in order to provide a rich variety of student led groups
  • Provide support to all areas of the college regarding BPCXtra and enrichment activities
  • To be a trip leader for off campus events and activities as appropriate 
  • Working with the wider Student Inclusion and Support Directorate to identify groups of students that can benefit from enrichment and have a tailored and inclusive approach to organising enrichment activities
  • Working with the Student Engagement and Enrichment Team to set up an inter college competition that all students can participate in
  • To be a key member of staff in the running and development of the cross-college influencer programme 
  • Managing and ensure the safety and engagement of students through social spaces ensuring these spaces are fit for purpose for all students.
  • Working with the wider Student Inclusion and Support Directorate to further develop the service to our students and their journey at the college

As our Student Enrichment Coach, you’llideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Youth work qualification at Level 3 or above
  • First Aid Qualification or willingness to obtain within first 3 months
  • Experience of working with 16 – 19 year old students
  • Experience of facilitating the delivery of Enrichment for 16 – 19 year olds
  • Experience of working within or organising clubs or groups
  • Attendance at college events ie open evenings including outside of normal working hours
  • Ability to be able to travel between sites
