Student Homework Support
We are currently recruiting for a Student Homework support to start immediately on a ongoing temporary contract until July 2024; Maybe longer Term Time only
The role is located in Old Street, working on a full-time basis and is paying £14 per hour - hours are 11-6 and some ad hoc Saturdays
WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?
Our client is an all Boys School with a mixed Sixth Form based in Central London.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
* hours -flexible - start can be late, number of hours flexible but finish at 6pm; 5 days a week
* homework sessions with the students will be 3.20pm - 5pm.
* there might be some Saturday work involved too, paid in line with weekend rate (Time and a Half)
* monitoring online homework programmes for the rate of HW completion
* monitoring which students have / have not completed the homework
* good presence confident - being able to manage silent work during the HW support session - the sessions would cover Yr 7-11 but with a focus on GCSE students
* use of PC/online programmes - training will be provided but the candidates must be IT literate
* communicating with parents where issues with homework completion
* Hours will be 11-6pm and some ad hoc work on Saturdays - for extra Pay
* The role is Term Time Only
ABOUT YOU
* Excellent telephone manner is essential
* Like working with children and a passion for education
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* High attention to detail including a high standard of accuracy when processing data
* Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Access, Outlook, Excel and web-based software
* Ideally will hold a Current Enhanced DBS- or be willing to have one taken out.
