The IT Services department at a leading UK university is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Systems Test Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the testing of a range of Student Systems and services, ensuring that they meet the needs of the university's staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement test strategies, plans and schedules for all Student Systems and services, in line with university policies and procedures.Work closely with the project managers, business analysts, developers and other stakeholders to ensure that testing is planned and executed effectively and efficiently.Manage a team of testers, providing leadership, direction and guidance as required.Ensure that all testing activities are carried out in a professional and rigorous manner, and that testing results are accurately recorded and reported.Identify and escalate risks and issues to senior management in a timely manner, and work with the relevant teams to develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.Continuously improve testing processes and procedures, and ensure that they are aligned with industry best practices and standards.Required Skills and Experience:
Significant experience in a test management role, with a proven track record of managing the testing of complex systems and services.Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, and experience of designing and implementing test strategies and plans.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of testers.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Experience of working in a higher education environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative IT team within a leading UK university.
