We have an exciting opportunity to expand our team with a new Games lecturer and SPL (Study Programme Lead) & Lecturer.
The candidate will be required to lead, plan, deliver and assess on our UAL qualifications, primarily at Level 3 and at Level 2.
The ideal candidate will either have experience teaching and games and/or relevant industry experience. They will have a passion to work with young people and care about their development and progression. They will also have good literacy and numeracy skills and an ability to embed them into their teaching.
They will also need to have excellent organisation and communication skills, as they will need to liaise with the course team to ensure that planning is up to date, and maintained, students are monitored and tracked, and report back to the Curriculum Manager.
It is desirable if they have experience using or facilitating learning on relevant software such as the Adobe Suite and relevant Games Development software e.g. 3DS Max, GameMaker Studio, Unity etc.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the 'Taking Teaching Further (TTF)' programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
