Our very well established, successful, and constantly developing client based in Stroud currently have a vacancy for a Subcontract Buyer to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will ensure efficient raising of purchase orders, delivery schedule planning, keying in purchase orders as well as monitoring of open order reports.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring efficient delivery of supplier stock and materials
- Building supplier relationships, negotiating and visiting when required
- Keep budgets in mind and adhered to, being mindful of cost reduction
- Managing backlog of purchase orders
- Create sub contract purchase orders
- Liaise with sub contract vendor community
- Support the preparation of reports for Purchasing Supervisor
- Assist with purchase orders onto system
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
- Attending meetings regarding production
- Run monthly OTD & OOR reports
- Assist Purchasing Supervisor and Quality Department with GRRN’s and ensure purchase notations are updated
- Providing cover for other roles within the purchasing/planning team
Visit suppliers as required
- Other ad-hoc and administration tasks as required
Key Attributes

- Previous use of one of ERP/MRP/MPS tools.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm + early finish Fridays 8am – 2pm
