The Tuition Services Team at Randstad are looking for a committed and experienced Tutor with a real passion to support vulnerable, at risk and disengaged learners! We offer our Tutors highly rewarding assignments, whilst providing flexibility and professional support to ensure your success. Earning up to 30 per hour for face to face support, you will be offered the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with children and young people with a variety of learning needs through tutoring in a creative, flexible and engaging manner.
You may be supporting students with special educational and complex needs. This may include those with autism, ADHD, SPD (sensory processing disorder), Speech and Language difficulties, as well those struggling with mental and emotional challenges such as trauma induced behaviour, social anxiety and low self-esteem. As an experienced Tutor in Cambridge, you will be free to choose from an extensive list of available bookings both face to face or online with flexible hours, enabling you to take control of your working schedule.
You will be assisted by our dedicated support team through every step of your registration process and will also be provided with high quality training to enable you to deliver your tuition sessions.
The ideal requirements:
- A creative and versatile teaching style
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or extensive tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with disengaged young people or looked after children
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of Safeguarding practices
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one
Responsibilities will include:
- Setting, marking and giving feedback on work
- Safeguarding children
- Planning sessions to ensure the curriculum is covered sufficiently
- Monitoring students progress
