Salary 13 to 14 per hour

NonStop Care is looking for a Substance Misuse Family support worker for locum temporary contract to work in a Substance misuse social care service with vulnerable young people and families.

If successful you will be working within a multi-disciplinary service, providing targeted prevention and treatment service to children, young people, parents and carers in relation to problems such as drug and alcohol use. They are located in the Denbighshire and Conwy areas.

This is working for a National Charity with Outstanding reputation that will provide you with ongoing support. Hourly rate is 14- 15 per hour.

Responsibilities

The Substance Misuse Family support worker will be responsible for running programmes for children and their family's that have issues relating to drug and alcohol misuse. The families have also been through a variety of traumas such as domestic violence and relationship breakdowns. You will support families who's children have been taken into care and are now considered 'looked after children'.

Your role enables vulnerable families to gain a better understanding of their issues and work towards achieving a much happier family lifestyle. You will also offer support to the children and help build up their resilience and work towards them understanding a little more about Substance Misuse. The role involves working with groups and with individuals. You will tailor bespoke sessions inline with personal needs and tailor resources to support individuals.

Requirements
