Origin Multilingual is proud to announce we are recruiting for aSugar & Emerging Fuels Analyst to join our client a global supply chain management company. This opportunity is offered on a full-time and permanent basis.
About the role:
Our client seeks someone who can analyse the sugar, ethanol, and biomass markets to help customers manage their price and supply risks and to build its decarbonization expertise. This expertise will then be used to advise customers on how to transition to cleaner energy generation/usage and to create products which help them do this.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
In this role, you will become an expert on the global sugar, ethanol, and biomass markets using the pre-existing analytical structure. You will share your conclusions with customers via the app and the online portal, as well as provide insights for the wider business and marketing campaigns. In time you will fully integrate the sugar, ethanol, and biomass analysis so that it can become an energy transition using cane/beet product which we can use to increase interest in the decarbonization services as well as to drive increased readership for the app. This will involve the following:
- Ensure the automated sugar analysis system operates correctly.
- Look for new sugar data sources the team can store; build new analysis from this data
- Grow the app's subscription business through writing and marketing unique, high-quality articles on the sugar market.
- Expand ethanol analysis capabilities so that they match companies sugar analysis structure.
- Create compelling new ethanol content on the app to grow the audience and revenue.
- Advise supply chain experts and customers on the latest developments in the sugar and ethanol markets.
- Expand the biomass analysis capabilities so that they match companies sugar analysis structure.
- Create compelling new biomass content on the app to grow audience and revenue.
- Support consulting and corporate finance teams fulfil client projects in the sugar, ethanol and biomass space.
- Support new decarbonization fund launch.
- Integrate the sugar, ethanol and biomass analysis into a service which advises customers on how to transition to low-carbon energy.
- Work with other teams to ensure maximum benefit is derive from the app across the organisation.
- To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve organizational goals.
- To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
- To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.
- To comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your Manager.

- Your role is related to the management of activities that ensure product safety, authenticity, legality and quality.
Personal Specification:
The successful candidate for the Sugar & Emerging Fuels Analyst must have the following:
- At least 2 years of relevant market/price risk management and analysis experience
- Commercial awareness
- Must have an interest in commodities and supply chains
- Excellent communicator - written and spoken
- Business level fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong I.T. skills including proficiency in Excel and Word
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Self-starter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving
- Resourceful, innovative and proactive
- Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels both internally and externally
- Ability to speak a second language (desirable but not required)
