Summer Marina Assistant

Marina Developments Ltd is the UK’s leading Marina operator. Situated on the River Hamble. Mercury Yacht Harbour is an extremely busy and popular visitor destination, and we aim to deliver the highest level of service and experience for our members and customers, demanding the very best from our team every day.

To assist with this we are looking to engage a casual worker to support our team on an ad hoc basis at Mercury Yacht Harbour. This role will be a no-fixed hours casual worker contract.

Typically, casual work assigned to you will be based at Mercury Yacht Harbour, Hamble. There may also be opportunity to work at one of our other sites within the region.

The role of our Casual Marina Operative will be to assist the team from time to time supporting the site with various tasks and shifts that require casual resource.

The role will include but not limited to:

Ø Provide a meet and greet service to all members and visitors

Ø Overseeing the berthing allocations of vessels

Ø To carry out general maintenance tasks as required

Ø Ensuring the telephone is answered in the correct and timely manner

Ø To ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with both promptly and efficiently

Ø Assisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services

Ø Maintaining the security of the site

Ø Carry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance with H&S and Customer Service standards

The key requirements for this role are:

Ø Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude

Ø An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service

Ø General maintenance skills

Ø Self-motivated and able to work without supervision

Ø Confident use of IT systems

Ø A practical, resourceful and common-sense approach

Ø Good practical boating skills (not essential but an advantage)

Ø Competent swimmer

Pay: £11.44 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Work Location: In person
