In your new role as Engineering Supervisor, you will complete engineering work within the area in an efficient and safe manner, with repairs undertaken as appropriate. This will mean ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date, that Health & Safety policies are adhered to, and that there is compliance with the agreed MITIE framework.
As a supervisor, you need to ensure all equipment and services are kept and functioned safely according to Health & Safety and ensure all staff are aware of safety procedures. You will be responsible for a team of engineers including day engineers & shift engineers who you will need to a provide an up-to-date shift rota for ensuring the appropriate staff are at work when required. You'll be required to fully participate in training and appraisal activities, as well ensuring KPIs are met are a key part of this role.
The qualifications you will need to hold are City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1&2 qualification or equivalent, HVAP qualification & relevant HV experience, IEE 18th Edition Regulations (ideal) and ISOH managing safely.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a good grasp of Maximo, possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
You should be able to effectively multitask, prioritise and demonstrate a self-motivated and team-oriented approach. The ability to make informed decisions using a wide range of information and maintain a flexible approach to ensure timely completion of key tasks.
