We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Auditor to join our Technical Team.
In this role you will play an integral part by supporting the Senior Supplier Approval Manager in maintaining product quality, safety and legality throughout the business. You will do this by ensuring our procedures and policies are adhered to. You will maintain and manage our supplier approval process, the on-boarding of new suppliers and conducting regular reviews of our current suppliers. Routine approval audits will be regularly conducted, as well as reactive visits and first production assessments. You will fully support customer and third party audits e.g. BRC, ASDA, BMPA and Red Tractor.

You will maintain and manage our supplier approval process, the on-boarding of new suppliers and conducting regular reviews of our current suppliers. Routine approval audits will be regularly conducted, as well as reactive visits and first production assessments. You will fully support customer and third party audits e.g. BRC, ASDA, BMPA and Red Tractor.
This role will will require regular travel across the UK, EU, Thailand and Vietnam.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out routine supplier food safety audits, first production assessments and reactive supplier visits in response to quality and food safety issues.
• Provide technical support to all other departments within the business.
• Review supplier documents to ensure compliance and report on any findings.
• Approve and carry out supplier reviews as per the Forza/Kober supplier approval procedure.
• Complete the on boarding process for ASDA secondary and direct suppliers via the Authenticate or HIVE system as required.
• Maintain up to date certification for suppliers as per the Forza/Kober supplier approval procedure (e.g. BRC certificates, Red Tractor Certification).
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments (planning, purchasing, site technical, technical services, procurement and logistics) to respond to supplier queries and internal queries.
• Log supplier intake non-conformances and liaise with suppliers to close these out.
• File and update results from the group speciation and chemical testing plan.
• Support the implementation of supply chain approval projects as and when required.
• Review Product Food Safety Passports and follow up queries.
• Collate and report on CPMU data for direct suppliers.
What are we looking for?
• Relevant degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related subject.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office Experience
• Trained in food safety and HACCP.
• Must demonstrate drive and a real passion for food.
• Demonstrate resilience, be enthusiastic and motivated with a ‘can do will do’ approach.
• Must lead by example, enjoy work and encourage others to do the same.
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder with junior staff, external clients, regulators, suppliers and management peers.
• Highly organised with the ability to organise others.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Flexible approach demonstrating the ability to multitask.
• Strong influencing skills
• Good working knowledge of all accreditation standards and relevant legislation
• Ability to work under pressure.
