Job description

Job title: Supplier Quality Professional - 23 months fixed term contract

Location: Glascoed

Salary: £42,132 per annum

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct Release at Source inspection activity with key suppliers to ensure that product conforms in all respects (product, paperwork, packaging) prior to despatch from the supplier
  • Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspection activities with the Customer to provide them with the assurance the product conforms in all respects prior to release
  • Manage the assurance of a group of suppliers through the application of BAE Systems Land UK processes to minimise the occurrence of non-conforming product
  • Conduct supply chain audits (System and Product) across all procurement categories
  • Liase with Supply Chain to address quality escapes
  • Adopt a proactive, continuous improvement approach to supply chain management

 

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Interpretation of Engineering drawings and other technical documentation
  • Cross-functional liaison
  • Experienced in quality or engineering related role

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge and application of Quality Standards (ISO, AS, AQAP 2110 etc.)
  • Supply Chain Management preferable
  • Lead Auditor preferable

The Procurement team:

Interacting with the project team that manage the factored work, you will be interacting with BAE Saudi and Japanese customer, managing the product for them through the Supply Chain.

This is an exciting opportunity, with interacting with multiple stakeholder and international exposure with potential overseas travel (America and Saudi customer base).
