As the Supply and Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimising the supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analysing trends, forecasting demand, and developing strategies to ensure the availability of products while minimising excess inventory and freight costs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in supply chain planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts through the analysis of historical data, market trends, and customer demand patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development and warehouse operations, to gather relevant information and insights for demand planning.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and market changes to adjust forecasts and optimise inventory levels.
- Implement and maintain an effective S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process to align supply chain activities with business goals.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and products, while managing costs and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks and disruptions, proposing solutions to ensure continuity of supply.
- Utilise advanced planning tools and systems to improve forecasting accuracy and overall supply chain efficiency. Experience with MRP systems e.g. SAP / Oracle / Navision
We are looking for:
Experience in supply chain forecasting / planning / merchandising within an ecommerce, consumer products, FMCG or retail environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and forecasting tools.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
