Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Mon-Fri with core hours 10:00-16:00

About Almac Diagnostics

Almac Diagnostic Services is a stratified medicine business, specialising in biomarker-driven clinical trials. Our Diagnostic experience spans oncology, immunology, CNS, and infective diseases. Our focus is on the discovery, development, and commercialisation of companion diagnostic tests, and to facilitate biomarker clinical trial management and clinical test delivery from our CLIA-accredited laboratories.

The Roles

Almac are currently looking to build a talent pool of candidates to fill the following positions as they become available:

  • Procurement Administrator
  • Supplier Co-ordinator
  • Buyer

The Procurement and Supply Team is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of all products and services to support all aspects of genomic testing within Almac Diagnostic Services across both sites (UK and US)

Procurement Administrator

The procurement Administrator is responsible for various aspects of procurement in relation to genomic products and services; and will assist in the development and daily management of an efficient, proactive and cost-effective supply base. Typical duties include placing orders for lab reagents, consumables and equipment, communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and a variety of administrative tasks.

Supplier Coordinator

The supplier Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development and daily management of an efficient and cost-effective global supply base while developing a professional and effective relationship with all suppliers/strategic partners and all internal operational departments. They perform market research and gather information in relation to products/services required to support the business, monitor vendor performance, and are involved in internal projects such a process improvement.

Buyer

The objective of the role is to provide the best possible service to the wider business by effectively managing the supply chain. This will be done by developing efficient, cost-effective ways of working whilst developing professional relationship with internal departments, suppliers and external clients.

What we are looking for

Procurement Administrator: 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) of grade C or above along with previous experience in an administrative role and experience in the use of Microsoft office packages

Buyer: HNC/HND level qualification (or equivalent) Or Significant experience in a similar role (in lieu of HNC/HND requirement) and previous experience in a procurement department using a computerised purchasing/inventory system.

Supplier coordinator: Degree or equivalent qualification (significant experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of degree requirement), significant experience in a similar role and experience in coordinating/managing a project
