SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST / PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:
  
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist / Buyer / Purchasing Assistant to join a very well-established Manufacturing and Distribution business, with head offices in the Poole area.
  
The successful Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist will take responsibility for a portfolio of existing suppliers, set up new suppliers and prepare information and reports for supplier reviews and negotiations. 
Experience of working in either a Distribution / Manufacturing environment is essential for this role, as you are joining a very busy team, and will be expected to quickly establish yourself and adapt to new systems processes, with ease.
  
SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST / PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • End to end management of the purchase order process
  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers, and updating systems with new supplier contracts
  • Monitor and where required, expedite purchase orders to maintain high service levels and SLA’s
  • Capture and report data on product and supplier performance, supplier contract reviews and negotiations
  • Maintain and set up any new products and relevant information onto internal systems and external websites - ensure that all mandatory data is updated, as required.
  • Regular liaison with suppliers to ensure that websites are updated with accurate information pertaining to new product features / benefits, certifications, and other required data
  • Ensure that all supplier partners provide purchase order acknowledgements – review, challenge / escalate any issues that arise
  • Regular liaison with internal teams, supply partners, and customers as required – both over the phone / email.
  • Carry out any additional projects / administration as required
SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST / PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Strong IT skills with confidence to quickly adapt to multiple in house systems and processes
  • Strong EXCEL skills will be required as you will be working with excel on a daily basis
  • Organised and structured approach to your work
  • Previous Supply Chain / Product Management / Buying or procurement experience would be ideal for this role.
